A Visit To Pivadi
October 15th, 2019
Queens’ College organized a field trip to ManavJagranVikas Centre situated in Pivadi Kample for students of Class VIII. It aimed to educate the Queens regarding harmonious living among all elements of Nature. It also aimed to enlighten the young minds to balance Nature using organic products. The foundation constitutes of thirty families living together in a self-sustaining atmosphere. The session started with an open discussion on modern life style and ill effects on the environment.
An extensive tour was undertaken by the students guided by educands of the centre. First the cow shed was shown which took care of almost 150 cows producing around 190 liters of milk . The guide talked about the cow dung used as fuel for cooking. Next was shown the cultivation area which spread over an extensive area where a wide variety of vegetation was grown using cow urine as pesticide.
The last thing was the view of the kitchen and the bakery where the Queens got to savor the handmade cookies and drink special drink made from dried flowers .Gratitude was expressed to the members by giving a thank you card. The students learned about a better and environment friendly way to live.
A Visit to Veterinary College
October 15th, 2019
Queens’ College organized a field trip to Veterinary College situated in Mhow, for students of Class – VII. It aimed to educate the Queens regarding the study and treatment of animals. The session started with visit to different departments of the College. Out of 17 departments, the students visited Animal Nutrition Department, Agriculture Information, Livestock Production and Management and Anatomy Department.
An extensive study was undertaken by the students guided by the educands of the institution. At the end, students were taken to the Conference Room, where the DEAN of the institution counseled the students about the Courses offered. A thank You card, Photo frame and school magazine was presented as a token of gratitude to the DEAN of the Institution.
Visit to Nai Duniya Press

Queens’ College organized a field trip to Nai Duniya Press (A unit of Jagran Prakashan Ltd.) situated at Rangwasa for the students of class VI. The Queens were able to see live, how a news paper is printed. The manager of the unit explained to the students the complete process of printing a single news paper. He informed them that the complete set up of the press is divided into three parts i.e. Pre- Press, Press and Post – Press. Pre – press consists the CTP department where the news which has to be printed is finalized by the editor and then it is printed on aluminum sheets using secondary colours. Hence they came to know how primary and secondary colours are used in printing. This process is a three step process for which they have installed advanced German machines which cost 1.75 crores per machine. Once the aluminum sheets are printed they are sent to the press which is also the second stage of the process and the news is printed on paper through huge machines. At the post press stage, the printed news papers are finished and made ready for distribution. The work of the press is a twenty four hours job and requires a lot of concentration and patience.
The manager Mr. Shivam Kumar also communicated to the students that at a time a machine can print 24 pages and 35000 copies are printed in one hour. They also recycle the waste paper so that it can be reused. Wastage parameters are preset according to the city. The technicians operated all the machines in front of the students and made sure they understood the process.
The students expressed their gratitude to the complete team of Nai Duniya by presenting a Thank You card to them. The students realized that how people of this industry sacrifice their comforts so that news from all round the world reaches us on time.
Field Trip to Kiseliya Herbal Industries
5th October 2019
Students of class 11th and 12th of science stream visited the KISELIYA HERBAL INDUSTRIES on 5th October 2019. Students observed various herbal products being manufactured. Initiatives for minimization of energy consumption were shown by using Bio Cakes that have high calorific value. Waste or by products of bio cake fuel such as filtered residue, acetone or methanol are further recycled and reused in brick industry. The students were shown the alternative methods of cooling instead of using AC/ refrigerator and other electric cooling methods. The purpose of the visit was attained as the students could relate the ecofriendly alternative methods in the modern ways of survival.
