Queens go viral with patriotic fever. Queens’ College wore a patriotic look on the occasion of Independence Day. The chief Guest Col. Shashank unfurled the tricolor flag. English speech was given by Khadija Tayyebi of XII F followed by Hindi speech by Prisha Chakraborty XII A. Patriotic songs were presented by students of class VI – VIII Devi House, the students of class IX – XII Laxmi House presented the second patriotic song.
The two patriotic songs were followed by a mesmerizing and spell binding performance of Shiva’s Tandav which enthralled everybody. The student was able to portray every emotion and angst of the poet. The Chief Guest Colonel Shashank Bahuguna gave a motivational speech emphasizing on the sacrifices made by our leaders to achieve independence and live in a free nation.
Gauneeti Satpute filled the aura of patriotism with her overwhelming emotions for nation with the Hindi recitation. Head Girl, Kompal Poorkar delivered the pledge and the vote of thanks was proposed by the Deputy Head Girl.
